Yesterday, the New York Times ran a front-page story on a Jewish French family’s battle to recover a painting by Monet that the Nazis looted from their vault during WWII. According to the Times, Ginette Heilbronn Moulin, 85, has recovered some of the other art looted from her family’s vault, but Monet’s 1889 “Torrent de [...]  ERR – Art Tour from Claims Conference on Vimeo. Also owned by and seized from Paul Rosenberg’s collection, Picasso’s “Mother and Child”. It was taken in at the Jeu de Paume and slated for the ERR repository of Nikolsburg in August 1944.
